Harrisburg shops has mixed CR black, blue and gray units and Amtrak E-8A's and E-9A's. In July, 1977, once ready for service again ex-RF&P E-8A 438 and ex-UP E-9A 420 will head back to Harrisburg station to replace westbound trains brought in by GG-1s.
