Erie Lackawanna MU's, led by low roof trailer 3217, pull through Maplewood, NJ in August, 1979.
Unlike the ex-EL U34CH's, the MUs were not renumbered while under contract to NJDOT.
They retained their EL olive paint and gold numbering until their final runs in August, 1984 when Edison's 3000 volt DC power was turned off and the new 25000 volt 60 hertz AC was turned on.
