CR Tie Unloader / Material Handler CJ 1005 Campbell Hall, NY November 1998

CJ 1005 is seen in Campbell Hall, NY in November 1998. This was a Marmon Transmotive Jimbo II Tie Unloader / Material Handler. These machines were used to load / unload ties from gondolas. When equipped with a magnet, the unit was used for loading / unloading rail, tie plates and other track materials (OTM). The walking beam construction permits car-to-car movement.
